The weather for the weekend looks ominous. Met service are forecasting mostly cloudy and occasional rain Saturday, and rain again for Sunday. This week the men have a change of tees to the Yellow tees. The match of the day is a stableford round, so those competing in the Shootout have an opportunity to score well to push up the table. The Shootout cut off of 19th place is 222, with the leader in front on 239. There are plenty of scoring opportunities before the final round on the 26th of October and the finals day on the 10th of November.
It was good to see a full clubroom following the Bell Mugs and Multiple stableford (Ladies). The collation of the results took a little longer than expected due to the cards having to be manually entered and checked (thanks Anne Dick and Craig). This highlighted the importance of checking your score on your card and making sure the crosses on the scanner side of the card match up. There were a significant number of cards with incorrect scores on the crosses side of the card. It is the players responsibility to make sure that the score and the crosses correspond when entering you card into the scanner.
