It‘s becoming a common theme; wet weather
forecast set to possibly interfere with the weekend’s golf. There are a couple
of days left before the pink needs to come out in support of the Breast Cancer
Foundation, hopefully the weather forecast changes for the better to allow some
golf.
Men have a monthly medal round, all off the white tees. a good time to get stroke play practice in for the Club champs qualifying on the 17th of August. The Men’s club champs qualifying is two rounds of qualifying, with 16 to qualify in each of the 4 grades. I am hopeful of a good number of entries, but please be reminded that if you have entered please be available for the match play rounds in September and finals in October. In the last two seasons there has been a number of players who have only played one round and qualified.
The Ashby mugs were played for by the men last Saturday. Well done to Gavin O’Hara and Sam Watkinson scoring 82, to be clear winners. We were lucky with a beautiful day and the course in great condition again.
