Member Update

Hi everyone,

I hope you are all keeping well in your respective bubbles after 3 weeks in Alert Level 4.

Apologies this is a little late, but I wanted to wait until further guidelines were announced. Most of you will have heard the good news announced by the Government late on Thursday that essential course maintenance can be conducted from today, Tuesday 14th.

The guidelines to what can and can’t be undertaken where received late last evening and they are pretty much as expected, with only essential course work to be undertaken during the Alert Level 4 period.

Colin will do a full assessment of the course condition today and once we have established the level of essential maintenance work required, we will staff appropriately and in line with the Alert Level 4 safety criteria in readiness for a return to playing.

We won’t know when this will be until the Government announcement about a possible Alert Level change and the rules around this on Monday April 20th.

The other news that seems to have stayed under the radar is today is when the new World Handicapping System takes effect.

A quick glance at some of your handicaps this morning looks like most have had a small adjustment downwards.

I’ll be in touch again soon with any updates.

Stay safe all.

Neville
