Our Level 3 operations seem to be going smoothly with members able to get out in their bubble(s) and enjoy the good weather and a course that has benefited from a couple of weeks rest.
A big thanks to Colin & Chris for their efforts during Level 4 doing essential maintenance.
Clearly some members didn’t practice pitch-repairing during Level 4 and obviously we can’t blame green fee players this time. C’mon people – divot and pitch repair are a fundamental responsibility of every club member, so lets’ make a big effort when we are back to “normal”.
Whilst I’m having a wee tanty and just to confirm humankind does indeed have its fair share of low-life, we had some undesirables visit during lockdown and steal the driving range Gator (used to push the ball picker which luckily they didn’t want), the fuel pump from the main diesel tank and also a members motorbike stored on the greenkeepers shed. Sigh…
So, all going well we will be told Monday that we’ll be in Level 2 on Wednesday and regular golf and competition can resume, albeit with some restrictions. I’ll remind you all of these guidelines early next week. Phil’s update below is obviously subject to Level 2 or better being in place.
Stay safe in the meantime and see many of you next week.
