Good luck to the Men’s Woodward Cup team and the Ladies Pollock Cup team who both play Russley in the semifinal of the Canterbury Premier interclub grades at Templeton this weekend. Both teams finished 4th in the round robin matches and take on the top qualifiers in the semi-final on Sunday morning, with the winner playing the final in the afternoon. If you have a chance get out to Templeton to support the Harewood teams with their effort to make the final.
Congratulations to Scott Manyweathers who defeated Phil Barlow in the Senior Mens 36-hole final to become the 2019 Harewood Golf Club Champion on Saturday.
The course has dried out with the warm weather, and the is now plenty of run. Please remember to repair your divots and pitch marks. The senior men final last weekend commented on the number of unrepaired pitch marks on the greens left by players in front of them. Please remember to repair your pitch marks and if you can’t find your own, at least repair any that you find. There are pitch repairers available in the pro-shop.
This week the Ladies have the Josie Dwight Closing day stableford and play from 12.00pm. The men have Par round. Last week was the last monthly medal, if you have won a monthly medal grade this year, the Monthly medal finals day is Saturday 7 December. Players will be advised of the draw and tees times in the next fortnight.
