Winter has arrived with a vengeance this week, minimal sunshine and rain most of the week will create definite winter conditions to play in. Unfortunately, the weather forecasters are not putting much sun in the forecast for the next few days other than late Friday afternoon. The course will be wet and heavy underfoot.
There are several tee slots open from 7.45 am to 8.03 am to allow those players wanting to play early. Players in these slots need to be aware that they need to be through 9 holes before the two tee starts at 10.00am to allow a smooth run through for those players teeing off from 1 and 10 tees at 10.00am. If there is a frost in the morning, then the course may be closed until the two tee starts at 10.00am. Players are reminded that to play on Saturday you must enter the competition of the day. This week men have a monthly medal of white tees and ladies have a Par round.
The Jennian Homes 4BBB competition for the ladies has reached the semifinal stage, and for the men one finalist pair has been decided and the second men’s semi-final also takes place this weekend. Peter Larkin and Pat Bonisch play Tony Marriner and Steve Thomas to decide who will play Les Keys and Allan Double in the final on the 18th of July.
