As you will be aware, at around 9.20pm last night, the Prime Minister and Director General of Health announced there are 4 new cases of COVID-19 in NZ, confirming community transmission.
As a result, Auckland is moving into Alert Level 3 from noon today and the rest of the country to Alert Level 2. While this is difficult news, our golf sector responded admirably to the uncertainty last time, and I know we can do so again.
The movement of Alert Levels is a fluid situation and we will get more clarity over the coming days. Beyond noon today through to Saturday 15 August 2020, we are unsure what changing Alert Levels will mean from a golf perspective, but as soon as we have more information, we will issue further guidance.
