Due to recent issues with members being unable to secure a tee booking, particularly on our busiest day Saturday, the Board wish to advise that a sub-committee has been formed to conduct a full review our tee booking structure and procedures.

As has been communicated previously by myself and Club Captain Doug Claridge, we have experienced an unexpected boon post lock down in both membership and players on course generally. We are not alone of course with many other Clubs locally and nationally grappling with similar issues.

Whilst we are delighted to be so busy we fully appreciate the frustrations of loyal members not being able to secure a tee time, particularly on our main club day Saturday when most of our major competitions are held.

Saturday is also the only day many of our members can actually play, so for those who have the option of playing other days and are willing to do so then please consider this to assist us manage the tee pressure we are currently experiencing.

As an example of the numbers we are dealing with, as at lunchtime today we have 195 people booked in to play tomorrow – a record by some margin in recent memory.

As most of you are aware, the tee sheets open up at 7:00am on a Friday for the following Saturday i.e. 8 days in advance. We know the Saturday fields get booked very quickly so if you miss out please contact the pro shop and go on a wait list. More often than not spaces do become available during the week for a variety of reasons and members are able to get a game.

On behalf of the review sub committee I will provide regular updates to members on our progress. Some changes may be able to be made quickly to improve the situation whilst others may be longer term due to the effect on our scheduled playing programme and other factors.
