Easter is next weekend and with that is the annual Easter mixed shotgun.
The Proshop is taking entries for the tee off at 11.30 am. With the present fields on a Saturday the expectation is that it will be a full field. Entry is the normal $15.00 which includes twos, net eagles, nearest the pin and a straightest drive. Daylight saving also ends next weekend on the 4th, so the early morning tee slots will have some daylight for a short period of time.
The Men’s 4 BBB competition moves to the second round of match play with some interesting match ups. Easy beats made it through to the second round, and will the long weekend of golf in Fairlie have had an effect on any of the players? Good luck to all those in the 2nd round of matches. The 3rd round is scheduled for the 17th of April.
Good luck to the Metro A interclub team who have the final round of the Canterbury metro competition. The Metro A team sit in 2nd place and should make the semi-finals at Christchurch and hopefully carry on into the finals. The Metro B team have placed fourth in the round robin and have made the semi-final round at Templeton. Both semi-finals are scheduled for Sunday the 11th of April. With the close of the Metro interclub season, players have a break before the Woodward, Blank and Simon Cup interclub competitions start in August. Harewood is looking to field teams in all the grades, planning has started, so keep an eye out for the trial dates.
