Member Update
Level 2 from Thursday

Dear members,

As you will have heard late this afternoon, the country will move down to Level 2 from 11:59pm on Wednesday 13th which means a few more changes for the Club and the playing of golf from this Thursday.

I will get more definitive guidelines from NZ Golf in the next day or so but as signalled to you in my last email on May 8th, the following should be applicable;

         · Play no longer restricted to bubbles

         · Handicapping system live again (scorecards in use)

         · Pins back in but not to be removed and no pins still on putting green

         · Pro Shop open for trading (with some restrictions)

         · Clubhouse open for catering but no bar until May 21st

         · Clubhouse table service only (we await further guidance on this aspect)

         · Driving range open (with some guidelines in place)

         · Toilets open

         · Contact tracing continues when playing golf and also for Clubhouse operation so all patrons must sign in and out

We have tonight released the tee sheets for Thursday onwards.

These will be open for members, affiliated and non-affiliated players except for Saturday where it will be member only until 12:30pm as usual.

Please look to bring along a guest over the next few weeks as we are very good value at $20/$35 for 9/18 holes given the course condition.

From Monday 18th the normal playing programme will resume (i.e. Midweek Men on Monday & Thursday, Midweek Ladies Tuesday etc…) but to necessarily the competitions you play for. This will be up to the match committee and those that organise your groups so please wait to hear from them in this regard.

Also during L3 many of you have asked me about equipment sales from the pro shop (putters, bags, clubs, shoes etc) and after 8 weeks of no trading revenues now would be a really great time to support the club if you need any gear. Please give the Pro Shop the opportunity to quote for anything you may need. And don’t forget about some lessons to get rid of that “lockdown rust”!

I’ll be in touch again tomorrow with an update on guidelines from NZ Golf.

Cheers,

Neville
